Vote Shenmue in official Sega survey
« on: November 15, 2016, 06:16:43 AM »

Sega of Japan wants to know which games and characters you most fondly remember and wish to see revived:

Needless to say, this is another opportunity we can't pass up to drive home the message to #SaveShenmueHD. Voting takes only a few clicks, so please be sure to do your bit.

In case your browser doesn't translate the page from Japanese, simply enter Shenmue, Ryo Hazuki, and Shenmue again for questions 1-3, and then select anything for the remaining questions.

A more detailed guide, including suggested Japanese text to copy and paste for your answers, has been prepared by the ever helpful Switch on his Phantom River Stone blog. And as Switch says, "the results of the poll are scheduled to be announced on the NicoNico Sega live stream at 6am JST this Sunday, November 20th."

Thank you for voting!

Thanks to all of your votes, Shenmue has made a firm impression in Sega of Japan's official survey:

Ryo Hazuki was voted 3rd most memorable character, and Shenmue itself was voted 4th most wanted franchise for revival - missing out on 3rd place by just two votes! The hosts of the live stream noted that "votes flooded in not only from Japan, but also from Europe, America and Asia." In addition, Shenmue was ranked as Sega's 11th most memorable creation, with the only fellow write-in candidate to receive more votes being Jet Set Radio.

Thanks to Switch of the Phantom River Stone blog for relaying the news, and congrats to Ryo and his ongoing story for leaving such an indelible mark on the hearts of gamers.

The quest to #SaveShenmueHD continues with the next Tweetathon coming up on December 3rd. Stay tuned for more details!
