So, with Shenmue being talked about worldwide after shattering previous Kickstarter records, it's pretty obvious that now is the time to educate people on these games that shaped the video game landscape of today without getting recognised for it. Why, just the other day a friend of mine asked me to stream Shenmue for him so he can see what the big deal is.

It got me thinking, what if we had a Team Yu/Shenmue 500k Twitch channel? It could feature different gamers playing different versions of Shenmue, while offering up commentaries on why the series means so much to them. Not only that, but we could stream discussions between members and other such activities.

I'd be happy to contribute to such a project, as I can quite easily hook up my Dreamcast to my streaming setup (using VGA box & HDMI converter) in order to stream gameplay from original hardware. Maybe another streamer could showcase available mods. Or even, rather than streaming, make a series of videos for YouTube. I know the community is knowledgeable enough that we could probably make 'Did You Know Gaming'-style videos.

I know it would probably take a lot of work to set up, but I'm sure there are fans who would happily... take the gamble. Geddit? The gamble? Because, you know? The... oh, whatever. Just let me know. :P
