Edge article on Team Yu
« on: December 10, 2014, 05:29:41 AM »

In a week whose theme appears to be "better late than never," a pair of articles from back in April have finally come to our attention. We certainly wish we'd seen them both a lot sooner, but we're glad to be able to share them with you at last.

A great big thank you to Edge for this flattering piece by Nathan Brown, discussing the behavior of dissatisfied gamers online, with Shenmue fans for once being held up as a shining example to all!

"Trust and the online lynch mob: a plea for greater understanding between players and publishers"

And thanks also to iSugoi writer Justin Moriarty, whose detailed look at many aspects of Shenmue culminates in a call to action, urging fans to join the #SaveShenmue Tweetathon every 3rd of the month. That's how to do it, Justin!

"Shenmue: The Most Epic Unfinished Tale Ever"

If anyone else out there is thinking of writing an article about Shenmue, then please do take the opportunity to help promote the campaign while you're at it. Publicity is vital to growing the movement, raising awareness within new audiences and catching the eye of other writers for that highly seasonal snowball effect.

We are always more than happy to provide quotes or information if you send us a message on here, or by email to [email protected].

And for heaven's sake, show off your work so we can share it around for you, instead of stumbling across it eight months later!

Hubba hubba! Edge published something positive about Team Yu!? That's almost as good as getting Shenmue 3, to this long time Edge fanboy!

Can't believe we somehow missed it!
