If you thought NoconKid's ongoing recreation of Yokosuka couldn't get any more impressive, just wait till you see his new video.

The promised November update demonstrates weather effects in the form of an ominous thunderstorm over Ryo's hometown, lighting up the night sky and drenching the streets and their HD fittings with a downpour that would call a halt to all but the most dedicated training sessions.

It's every bit as beautiful as you'd expect from the hand of the South Korean super-fan with a full Shenmue remake in his sights. Let's just hope Sega doesn't rain on his parade.

I looks like he updated the model, or is it my imagination? It looks less like that terrible Allstars Racing model now.

With Shenmue III now a reality, and Yu Suzuki himself requesting HD remakes from Sega, it was only fitting that NoconKid should return with an impressive new update on his project, urging fans to help #SaveShenmue on (the official!) Kickstarter:

Helping to lead the charge in the campaign to ‪#‎SaveShenmueHD‬, NoconKid is still hard at work showing Sega the progress that just one person can make in his spare time with this detailed recreation of Shenmue's iconic setting.

Many congratulations to NoconKid, who has now been hired as part of the team developing Shenmue 3!

The South Korean super fan has wowed fans across the globe with his homemade HD recreations of Shenmue environments, and his efforts have not gone unnoticed by Yu Suzuki himself.

As the Shenmue III project continues to prove that dreams do come true, we look forward to the detailed world that NoconKid will help to create in the most anticipated videogame sequel of all time.

NoconKid has shared some wonderful photos of his pilgrimage today to Dobuita Street in Yokosuka, the familiar location of the first Shenmue. Check them out on Facebook.
