« on: October 03, 2014, 04:51:51 AM »
This Friday, join forces with Shenmue fans from around the world to send a united message to Sega, the media, console makers and publishers alike, with the #SaveShenmue Tweetathon!

Every month on the 3rd, gamers converge on Twitter to speak out against the injustice befallen Yu Suzuki's unfinished masterpiece, the groundbreaking Shenmue saga. 13 years after an epic cliffhanger, the promised conclusion remains the most requested sequel in gaming. Help us press the issue this Friday and raise awareness of the campaign to revive this unforgotten franchise.

Spread the word and be heard on the 3rd - Team Yu needs YOU to #SaveShenmue!

A big thank you to all who took part in yesterday's #SaveShenmue Tweetathon! There really is nothing quite like the spectacle of an endless stream of tweet upon tweet upon tweet, from people all over the world and all walks of life, baring their souls in pursuit of Shenmue III. The never-ending outpouring of emotion and determination is both touching and inspirational in equal measures, and only the coldest heart and tightest fist could overlook this monthly phenomenon.

But that's Sega for you.

The varied community always makes the Tweetathon a hotbed of creativity and good humor, underpinning the serious message that unites us:

And not for the first time, professional comedians Matt Walker (http://tinyurl.com/funnymattoct) and Imran Yusuf (http://tinyurl.com/imranyusufoct) chimed in, with Imran proposing three techniques to make Shenmue III a reality:

Meanwhile voice actor Corey Marshall, the man behind the mic for Ryo Hazuki himself, reiterated his support for the campaign (http://tinyurl.com/coreymarshallvooct), urging fans to keep going on this long yet momentous journey.

And keep going we shall, as the next event takes place on November 3rd, when Japan celebrates its annual Culture Day. What better way to honor Japanese culture than to make a louder, stronger, and more inspiring call than ever before to #SaveShenmue?

To make absolutely sure you're a part of that call, pre-load your monthly tweet this instant at http://TeamYu.net/AutoTweet

As always, there are fans kicking themselves this morning because they forgot to tweet with everyone else. But with AutoTweet, other commitments need never get in the way. Whatever you're doing, wherever you are, you can spread the word and be heard on the 3rd!
