Update on fan-made HD remaster
« on: September 28, 2014, 06:51:24 PM »
Korean fan NoconKid has released a short video demonstrating new work on his homemade Shenmue HD remaster.

The 45-second clip promises another update in November.

The original videos caused a sensation when released in August, with many gamers questioning why Sega should take so long to publish an official remake while a single fan can make such stunning progress in his spare time.

While recreating the environments and converting the game itself are very different challenges, Sega's resources far outstrip that of a bedroom programmer. Each new video from NoconKid should redden the faces of all at Sega HQ that little bit deeper.

This video was simply magical. I could not believe what i was seeing, especially with the lighting.

As for the scene, I really don't remember it so does that mean he created this from thw ground up and use it as a tech demo?

So lets say he finishes and its just marvelous. Would this be another mod to play on the PC or a new version but still on the pc?

I swear, he should make stupid subtle changes like Rio Hazukey, Land-e and then release it under the indie section on the 360
