Haha, love the little Ryo in the logo. ;D
Thanks. I'm not overly happy with his hair, but I'll leave him how he is for now and possibly revisit it when I've done more with the board. :)

Ha, didn't notice that at first glance. I would have put Yuanda Zhu as the Mono-(or Shenmue-)poly guy, if it was me. Because he looks like the original one; he has that serious business (Five Stars Corp.) look.

It's hard to say what's going to be more expensive than the others, but it's probably more important to group them in blocks as they appear in the game. Their proximity to each other.  Something like Slot House could be a utility, but it really depends on the groove you want here. As far as monetary value goes i would just roll with their popularity, and be sure to group them as they appear in the game. So while Board walk could be warehouse number 8, park place could be another part of the harbor. This works since it is both likely the most profitable, expansive, and well known amongst the areas to Shenmue fans. I guess i would say try to get more into the feel of it than logical. It matters most.

Okay... how about rather than proximity, we go for business type? So, I could put Tom's Hot Dogs, Funny Bear Burgers and Bob's Pizzeria in one block. Bar Yokosuka, MJQ Jazz Bar, Heartbeats Bar could go in another. And so on...

For the Boardwalk/Park Place (or Mayfair/Park Lane if you're a Brit like me), I was thinking of having the Hazuki Dojo and Warehouse #8. And for the stations, I'm considering simply making them all Tomato spaces (just how many do you pass on Wish Road? :P)

Business type would be an interesting way of doing it, too, that probably makes more sense, too, since you'd have the market cornered when you own them all for hotels and such. Hazuki dojo works great as a Boardwalk. for the railroads, we could do 2 tomatoes, one abe store, and a Hokuhoku lunches. Or for parity, two tomatoes and two hokuhoku lunches, one of each in Dobuita and the harbor like in the game.

The utilities could be transport services like the bus company and the, uh, boat company.

It'll be easier when I do the Shenmue II board; each of the stations will be pawn shops. I just need to work out a way to carry over your progress from the first Shenmue board. ;)

Okay, I like the idea of using Tomato and Hokohoku. I just need to find/make a Hokuhoku logo.

The flower on the lunch ladies aprons would probably make a good logo. Maybe even use the whole apron pocket to give it that home made feel.

I already attempted that, but couldn't see enough detail (at least, not in the screengrab I was using... but that video seems to be much clearer). I instead went for the Hokuhoku Lunches banner behind the stall at the harbour. It's simple enough.

Hmmm... the Tomato ones don't look quite right... I think I'll add a yellow stroke around them.
