Loneliness batters my body
Thought I was a fly guy
But I guess more like deep fried
Friends, I've a couple
But when the winds weather my bones
Need a lover who ain't no Medusa
With a warm face and heart
Don't wanna be with the wrong love
No sticky murky situations
Ta Bumba
Can't play Mario Cart
Not unless it's with you

I thought it was the best line in the poem too.

When are you going to let your heart sing in this thread, mr. 2 tweet to be sour?

OK, after reading that poem back, I would just like to clarify that it's not about cocaine.

Your beauty
It's got my eyes so open
But my nose is wider still
Don't need Vicks any time soon
You got me floating high
Because your levels are high
So much Grace
I would have thought your name was Grace
But it most definitely ain't
Maybe I'm just assuming
And I've built a dream in my mind
But here's hoping this isn't an illusion.

Better than Floetry:

The seasons change, but I feel hot
Is it weather?
I don't think I care
Loneliness, but not despair
yeah
But I don't feel frosty
hot like a radiator
Just a thought for a penny
I won't get wild like a buck
want to keep contained
Like I was tightly tucked
Then when I make the breakthrough
It's gonna be better than the best luck

Seeing as this is a Shenmue forum, I figure that most of us will be flowery sensitive souls who like to write about emotions, the changing seasons, true love, and other such cliched topics. I know I do! I know James is a latent lyrical mastermind, and Stare has a Haiku fetish, so I hope I can coerce them to contribute something.

I know, I know, after reading my expertly rhymed thread title (snowetry's not a real word by the way, I made it up 8) )you must be eager to read some of my own introspective heart singing. I will post one soon, probably later today.

Yeah I think it's likely that it's the increased anticipation for a sequel it would bring, that have caused Sega to deny Shenmue a digital re-release. They wouldn't have had to do a kid nocon type job, as it's not like they did that for their other DC re-releases. But Sega know what they will be getting themselves into as soon as they give Shenmue a re-release and finally make it accessible to the masses: a new generation of #saveshenmue campaigners, and increased scrutiny in the media over when Shenmue 3 is coming or why they aren't making it, and that's the type of scrutiny that Sega have dogmatically tried to ignore and wish away for the last decade. They are scared to re-release it because they know doing so would be a tacit commitment to continue the series.

But it has to happen, in an age when nearly all of gaming's true undisputed modern classics (and some not so classics) have been opened up and made accessible to contemporary gamers, the omission of Shenmue is becoming increasingly noticeable and unpalatable. Even more so than the omission of a Shenmue 3.

I'm still waiting for Tama to be en vogue.

Didn't Tokyo Jungle get a Eurogamer 10/10 lol. That's good enough for me.

There are so many DS and 3DS games I really want to play. Top of those are probably that 999 virtual novel game on DS, and Shin Megami Tensei 4 on 3DS, but I neither have a DS nor 3DS at current unfortunately.

Top of my list is to finish Shenmue 1, though I probably need to stop bringing it up, seeing as it's one of the greatest shames of my life. I need to get a copy of the game though as I no longer have it, so please let me know if anyone comes across a bargain for it, though I imagine that's unlikely. After that probably Yakuza 4, as I actually have that (though it's not my copy), so I may get cracking on that in the mean time.
