Shenmue Chat / Re: nullDC Cheater Codes
« on: July 07, 2014, 01:50:10 AM »
Would be amazing plus hilarious to find a code for the 70 Person Battle, that makes Ryo's and everyone's health infinite AND put the number of defeated persons near to 70 (like 69), to activate all bosses and all other persons, so as to make them ALL coming at you to fight! Imagine 70 persons attacking 1 (Ryo) ...just superb!

Preferably this should be the case for the unlocked Time Ran mode at the Options (where Ryo fights alone), of course you'll need a completed save (why not with all moves available and mastered). How long can keep going into an EPIC fight?

This is an excerpt, of the below linked article:

«It's true that I shared dinner last night with Suzuki-san, and we talked about the issue of crowdfunding. The thing I said to Suzuki-san is that with the crowdfunding ... Of course you have to think of the players when creating a game, even if you belong to a big company, but for the collective funding you have to think even more for the players, since the connection between the players and you is much stronger, so you have to carefully understand what players want and explain 'this is a game that you want, please fund it'. "That kind of attitude is very important."»

Shenmue Chat / Re: Ine-San Daily Allowance?
« on: July 05, 2014, 05:18:01 AM »
I was expecting, too, to earn a daily allowance from Ine-san. How I think the system to work is like this: To reward the player for posting in the site. That is, if they will not post in some day, then the next day they will not get the allowance from Ine-san. But, if they post in some day, then the next day they will get the allowance from Ine-san.

As for the amount of the allowance, I think it should stay to 50 Yen. Or, a more advanced scenario: the amount of the allowance to increase according to the posting strike a member is going. That is, for example, if a member has a posting strike of two days, then he will receive 100 Yen (2x50=100); if a member has a posting strike of five days, then he will receive 250 Yen (5x50=250). And so on.

Maybe the maximum allowance a member could get should be 250 Yen [maybe 500 Yen (as in the game) is too much]. Maybe the maximum allowance of 250 Yen is too much, too. Therefore, maybe 150 Yen?

In any case, if a member will not post for a day (in a period of 24 hours), then he will start over (and of course, as mentioned above, he will not get allowance for the next day).

My toy capsules: I have only one toy capsule and that's "Alain" from the "Outtrigger" toy capsules machine. I haven't, too, got that toy before, probably because I didn't collecting from that machine... Going to get one more!

Shenmue Chat / Re: The music of Shenmue

I always stick the Shenmue OST on when I'm having trouble sleeping. It calms me down so effectively, that I just drift off into a peaceful slumber.
That suits perfectly with this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dKObwDDKUQ

Of course, then I wake up and realise that I was only dreaming that Shenmue III had been announced. But then I listen to the music again. :)
It is scientifically proven...: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZqYoF9kFKA Haha.

The most close mobile phone to the iPhone that Ryo would likely have in 1986 would be something like this...

The next generation Motorola DynaTac 8000s series was launched in 1986, it has one fewer function key than the 8000x model.

Wanted Code: a code that will let you continue the game even when you save it with the "Resume" feature (normally, the game prompts you to exit the game, like: "Game save is complete! You may now exit the game.").

Amazing work, David! That would be so much fun while playing Shenmue. I will buy you a drink for this post, when I'll get my allowance from Ine-san!

I would really like the snapshot feature to return on a HD remake of Shenmue or in Shenmue III (or IV (!) ). Furthermore, a critical caveat was that you were limited at how many pictures you could take; that was very frustrating. Therefore, I would like the number of pictures you would be able to take to be theoretically unlimited and only practically limited by how many bytes of free storing data you have available.

Additionally, the snapshot feature wasn't that truly immersive, if you think about it. It was more a feature that didn't have an one-on-one connection with the protagonist. What I mean is this: it would be more immersive and real-like if Ryo would be able to found a camera in his house (probably in some drawer in his room) and then carry it with him wherever he go, just like the cassette player and the wristwatch.

So, he/you would need to select the camera by pressing the "Y" button (or the "Δ" if it will be released on PlayStation...) and start using it. But even more, to be more immersive, the camera to have additional real-like features, like, (Ryo) to see through the lens of the camera and have all the features that comes with one, like zooming in/out, flash, rotation, like a human with their hands would control it.

Surely, to represent a camera like those available in the 80's. Imagine also if you could portrait some of the pictures and hang in your room's wall (in the Shenmue I). We talk about more immersive and real life sense, something that we Shenmue fans like in a game.

P.S.: Hooray! This is my second post, so now I have ¥100 and I can buy food (milk) for the kitty! :3

One of the musical pieces of Shenmue that I find awe inspiring, even thought it lasts short in duration, is the following one called "Meditation": http://youtu.be/PjUw95_hznM It inspires the sense of courage, motivation, to feel powerful and determined, with a serious and strong look in your face. I have used it sometimes when I want to start something demanding, that requires total self-discipline.
